Messiah Lutheran Church is not only a beautiful church across from the picturesque Tower Grove Park; it is a church built to confess the love of Jesus Christ to its community. At Messiah we want everyone who is married here to have the best marriage possible. For that reason we feel it is necessary that both bride and groom understand what we believe and teach as a Christian church. This can be accomplished through our adult instruction course (aka “BASICS”) and/or meeting with one of the pastors. If you are interested in attending BASICS please contact the office and let us know. If you and your fiancée already belong to the Lutheran Church you may proceed to discuss your wedding with one of the pastors. Each couple will have approximately 3 meetings with one of the pastors to receive additional guidance concerning marriage related issues (e.g., communication, finances, family, conflict management) and to prepare for the wedding service.
 
It is our intention to help prepare couples for a Christ centered marriage, reflecting the commitment, forgiveness, and love God has demonstrated to all of us in Jesus Christ.
